Blues leant an educational helping hand to Bordesley Green Girls’ School & Sixth Form on Wednesday.

A group of year 12 students, who are enrolled on the school’s enterprise and enrichment programme, were tasked with meeting local businesses to conduct mock interviews to prepare them for life after school.

Blues staff from corporate hospitality, consumer sales and human resources spent over two hours with pupils giving them experience of interview scenarios and feedback on their performance.

"It’s been a really successful day,” said Sarah Voutsinou, Head of Year 12 at Bordesley Green Girls’ School, Birmingham.

“Hopefully when the students have their first job interview or university interview it won’t be so scary. It’s all about increasing their confidence and getting them to understand they are more capable than they realise."
