It is important because the lads deserved to win again. The last four games, we weren’t as good as what we were at the start of the season, but I think today we have recovered our consistency.

Aitor Karanka’s thoughts after our goalless draw against Millwall…

His thoughts on a difficult game against a tough Millwall side...
"I knew it was going to be a tough game because they are a very good team. They have their style, and they are really aggressive. They like to play long balls but are also very good at getting the second balls. We had to approach the game the way we did otherwise it would have been impossible to even take a point. The only chance they had was from a set-piece, our defenders have been excellent once again. We had a few chances as well."

On his decision to make one change…
"I was thinking about a few of them but, for example, the players who were good to defend set pieces, I didn’t want to replace them. I didn’t want to touch the middle of the pitch. Scotty [Hogan] could have been quicker up top, but I didn’t want to lose Jukey for set pieces. It was a difficult game."

On the importance of Tuesday’s game against Barnsley…
"It is important because the lads deserved to win again. The last four games, we weren’t as good as what we were at the start of the season, but I think today we have recovered our consistency. Now that we have our consistency back, I hope we can play better against Barnsley."

On how his side are aiming to turn draws into wins…
"It’s just to try and play better. In two or three months, players like Riley McGree will be better because they will be more used to playing in the league and the intensity it brings. Going forward, we will play better because they will get used to the league. We have changed a lot of things, this is a long journey, for sure we are going to be good."
