We knew the game was going to be decided by a small detail.Aitor Karanka
The Sky Bet Championship clash was edged by the hosts in South Yorkshire, with Blues losing for the first time in three matches.
And the Head Coach offered his thoughts on the match to members of the media after the game at Oakwell.
Speaking to the press, Karanka explained how it was an encounter decided by fine margins as his side could not find a clinical edge in front of goal.
He said: "We knew the game was going to be decided by a small detail. They scored one and we were not able to score because it is impossible to score a goal when you don't have a shot on target.
"One thing I can guarantee you, I don't tell the players not to shoot. It is the opposite, I encourage the players to shoot. I need to analyse the game."
The Gaffer continued to field questions and admitted some frustrations at events that transpired.
He said: "We have to keep going. We knew it would be a tough game, it was but we lost.
"When you lose a game it is because something has not worked and as a coach you are responsible for the result. I tried to play with a strong team as I knew it would be a tough game, they are really good at set-pieces and physically."
Blues now have a clear midweek as they return to the Trillion Trophy Training Centre and Karanka concluded: "We are in this position and we can't complain, we can't blame anybody because it is our loss.
"We showed in the last week that we are a good team, but we have to keep going.
